It's almost, almost, like in life, when Ben was constantly hurting and upset and angry and lost, They had reacted in kind and now that Ben is calmer in his life and himself, They've reacted by calming down when They show up.
If anything, Their main interest in the last hour has been Klaus. Holding onto Klaus, not letting him get too far away. Ben can't bring himself to even think about it happening, because if this is it, he's taking everything he can from the moment.
Klaus is crying again, softly and not entirely like himself, but KlausAndBen have never been like Klaus or Ben, so it's okay. He even manages to let go with one hand enough to pet Klaus' ribs, stroking the skin and marvelling at the way it feels over bone. "This is good though. Nice."
